How far is Royal Hotel Capertee from Sydney?
We are located roughly 188 kilometres north west of Sydney and 41 kilometres north of Lithgow. You can simply catch a train to Lithgow then a bus that will drop you off right at our front door. Or, if driving, enjoy a scenic 2 – 2.5 hour trip.

What is the climate like in the Capertee Valley?
We have a dry Mediterranean climate here; hot during the day and cold at night but rarely humid. You might need a coat when cloud comes over as the temperature cools. We don’t experience high rainfall here, though we’d really love some more!

Turon gates has horse riding, we have room to accommodate floats.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, as long as they are kept on a lead. Animals are not allowed into the buildings due to food and health regulations.
Is the hotel suitable for children?
It certainly is! We provide a wholesome family environment with zero hassles. Rough behaviour is not tolerated. We have a children’s playground.
